My name is Kristin Dodd. I am originally from Albuquerque, NM, but I currently reside in Dallas, TX. I began dancing at age 3, and grew up in a competitive dance studio. Then, went on to dance for the University of New Mexico. Go Lobos! I am currently in my second season dancing for the Allen American Ice Angels, and am serving as a captain.
Since inception, Made to Move stemmed from the misperceptions of others not understanding dance as a profession. Why I dance, how I dance, and who I dance for come into question for many believers who struggle about blending dance and serving the Lord at the same time. For me, I am a faithful servant of God; through work and through dance!
I hope that people would watch and read these stories about passionate Christian women, who also dance professionally, and how they are using their platforms to reach more people for Christ. I dream of the day when the public sees professional cheerleaders and dancers as strong educated, empowered women, who are making a difference in their communities.
I hope you join me in this movement.
